This salad is the perfect way to spring into summer this year. It’s light, fresh, and simple to put together on a moment’s notice. The sweet flavors from the pear & honey perfectly balance out the savory & strong flavors of the prosciutto and arugula, making this light dish an unexpected showstopper on any occasion. This dish can be a great small plate to have out paired with a dry white wine. You can easily add to the recipe below to make this into an elegant side salad with any meal. No matter how you serve it, you just can’t go wrong with this Pear, Prosciutto, and Arugula Salad that is drizzled with sweet honey.
1. Take the serving dish you’ve selected for this recipe and place enough handfuls of baby arugula to generously fill the dish.
2. Slice your Anjou pears and place them around the baby arugula, leaving enough space in between for the prosciutto.
3. Take about 4 slices of prosciutto and tear them in half or thirds to make easy bite sized portions. Place the prosciutto bites in between the pear slices in the salad.
4. Generously drizzle the honey over the salad to cover most of the pears, prosciutto, and arugula.
5. This dish is now ready to serve & enjoy! Use serving utensils to serve the salad onto individual plates.
